A 35-year-old man will appear in court today after allegedly being caught travelling at 196kph near the Valla Beach turnoff.

Police said that about 4pm on Friday August 3, a Ford Falcon sedan was detected travelling on the Pacific Highway, Raleigh, at 196 kph in a 110 kph zone.
Officers from the Mid North Coast Traffic & Highway Patrol Command said they attempted to stop the vehicle, but it failed to stop, and a police pursuit was initiated.
Allegedly, the Ford Falcon eventually stopped in a break down lane near East West Road, Valla.
Police arrested the 35-year-old driver from Queensland who was taken to Macksville Police Station where he was charged with driving in a dangerous manner, driving while disqualified and for supplying a prohibited drug.
His passenger, a 35-year-old Queensland man, was charged with two outstanding warrants.
Both men were refused bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court today.
