The Macksville Library lawn looked like a scene from Ghostbusters yesterday, with slime oozing from every surface.

And the kids couldn’t have been happier!
Around thirty busy young scientists attended the booked-out slime-making workshop as part of the Shire’s winter holiday activities.
Who would have thought that shaving foam, bicarb soda, contact lens solution, PVA glue, and baby oil could illicit such squeals of delight – most of those coming from the parents who were roped into the fun.
Macksville girl Layla was quick off the mark in nailing the formula and set about helping others to achieve that sought-after stretch.
She gave the activity a “10” (out of 10) in terms of holiday fun and strongly recommends others to have a go.
A group of three boys sitting around comparing slime successes rated the workshop as “the second funnest thing this holidays”.
With a ninth birthday party, seeing Egyptian mummies in Brisbane, and a holiday in Sydney, respectively, just pipping the workshop for top honour.
Not a bad rap at all, Macksville Library. Good form!
