The committee organising the commemorations is seeking 635 knitted or crocheted poppies as a tribute to each of the Valley’s ANZAC volunteers.
If you would like to be part of this project, all you have to do is gather your materials and start.
If you are a member of a craft group you could make it a group project.
Completed poppies can be delivered to any of the RSL sub-branches in the Valley.
Patterns are readily available on the internet, but if you would like a pattern in your hand, you can collect one from your nearest RSL.
Poppies will be displayed around the Valley and receipt by sub-branches is required by October 1.

If you’re a crafty person you may also have heard about the Centenary of Armistice Quilt project.
Quilts are to be A4 size and must be submitted by October 31 to the Remnant Basket in Macksville.
Quilts will be displayed as part of the commemorations, any technique can be used, and there are prizes for the best. For further information please contact Diane on 6568 1829.
