One baby is born every minute and 42 seconds in Australia. That’s roughly about 257, 760 babies born since January 1, 2018, give or take, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics population clock.
The clock estimates an overall total population increase of one person every minute and 23 seconds, placing the current population of Australia at around 24,956,000 – and that’s taking into account deaths and those also relocating overseas.

Faith Evelyn Ely – Chantel James and Giles Ely welcomed daughter Faith Evelyn Ely on February 24, 2018. Born at Macksville Hospital, Faith weighed 8 pound 4 ounces. The little cherub is the second granddaughter for David and Barbara Ely and Peter and Linda James; and the 21st great grandchild of Heather Welsh from Macksville.
Lukah Daniel Peter McQueen – Zach McQueen and Shelly Joynson from Nambucca Heads with new arrival Lukah Daniel Peter McQueen, born January 30 at 2:37pm in Coffs Harbour Base Hospital, weighing 7.44 pounds and measuring 52cm. Lukah is the new little brother to Leighton, Parker and Izabella.
