In fact crews have been opening pavements and installing cables and nodes in Bowraville, Macksville, Nambucca Heads, North Macksville and South Arm.
Lynette Keep, Media Advisor for nbn™ local, said 2900 premises would soon be connected – 1800 with Fibre to the Node (FTTN) and 1000 with Fibre to the Kerb (FTTC), the first of those being in Nambucca Heads.
Over 50 kilometres of cable has been laid and residents should be able to hook into the hi speed broadband on June 29, 2018.
These are the last areas in the shire to be connected, which represents the completion of the NBN build in Nambucca Valley.
Ms Keep said in the Nambucca Shire Council area 4,252 premises could already order a service over the nbn™ broadband access network.

Last week NBN Co reported that since December 2017, orders for wholesale speed tiers of 50 Mbps or higher had almost tripled, increasing from 16 per cent to 44 per cent, with average bandwidth network congestion reduced from more than five hours to less than 30 minutes per service, per week compared to this time last year (excluding Sky Muster™ satellite).
NBN Co said the dramatic take-up was driven by their new wholesale discount options, which supported internet providers in reducing bandwidth congestion and selling higher speed broadband retail plans.
The rollout of the network is now ramping up in capital cities with more than 250,000 new homes and businesses across metro Australia set to be able to connect to the nbn™ access network in the next three months.
