Here is their response:
“The Roads and Maritime Services contractor for the Warrell Creek to Nambucca Heads upgrade installed a temporary connection to the bridge over the new highway towards the end of last year.
“The temporary connection ensured Old Coast Road was open in conjunction with the 14 kilometre bypass of Macksville prior to the Christmas holidays.
“The contractor is now replacing the temporary connection with the final road with work expected to take about two and half months to complete, weather permitting.
“Motorists are advised to follow the direction of traffic control and signs and keep to the reduced speed limits.
“Roads and Maritime thanks the community for its patience while this important work is carried out.”
