Already we’ve seen some drama at Cowra – or not seen it as it were – with former Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce pulling out of the event yesterday.
Newly re-elected Nationals chairman Bede Burke acknowledged the Barnaby drama during his opening address.
"There's been no winners here,” he said.
“But we did not leak, we did not run issues through the media. It’s not our culture to drag internal matters into the public sphere."
There’s already been another budget drop – Deputy Premier John Barilaro announcing there will be $130 million spend to seal the last 200km of the Cobb and Silver City Highways.
Mr Barilaro also outlined plans to focus on youth and rural mental health, and youth unemployment “to protect the next generation”.
