Some serious, others steadying nerves with beers and darts, but all enjoying the comradeship, the bowlers are on day two of a three-day men’s Fours tournament.
And they have come from all parts for this prestigious long weekend tournament: with teams from Kempsey, Maitland, Cabramatta and Armidale among the throng of travellers along with the bevy of locals from the Nambucca Valley.
More than 100 bowlers all told, and both synthetic greens have been full.

On day 2 teams are vying to secure a seat at the finals, which will be decided on the Queen’s Birthday holiday.
The influx of visitors is a welcome filip for the local economy, with players rolling the cash at local motels, tourist parks, and pubs and clubs.
