MACKSVILLE Women’s Golf Club held a Combined Open Day and Cancer Day. Visiting clubs Bellingen, Bowraville, Crescent Head, Fredrickton, Nambucca Heads, South West Rocks, Urunga and some Macksville men played in a field of 40.

The cancer fundraising day and open day would not be the success it is without the many sponsors.
Games played in the weeks prior to the open day saw Ruth Flarrety and Lyn McCoy take the honours in the stableford competition.
Christine Parker with an impressive 99 off the stick and 76 nett won the stroke competion. Ruth Flarrety was in line as runner-up for her own trophy day and kindly passed it onto Mary Dwyer, who continuing her winning prowess with 79 nett.
The pennants team enjoyed the day out on Monday May 28 at Nambucca Heads, playing Bellingen, where Ruth Flarrety and Mary Dwyer starred, squaring their games.
