The Wauchope mum was really upset to realise that she put a christening dress in an op shop bag by accident when she had a cupboard clean-out over the last 12 months.
“This is going to be a long shot but maybe just maybe someone will recognize this christening dress that I am trying to get back,” said Shauna.
“This dress has been worn by many members of my family, was handed down to me and I hoped to hand down to my daughter; however I can not find it.”
Shauna generally donates items to Vinnies in Wauchope.
She has been in touch with the volunteers there and they remember seeing the dress and overcoat; other people have contacted Shauna to say they saw if for sale in the Vinnies shop. She is desperate to get it back and keep it in the family.
“Please if anyone happens to have purchased this dress or seen a baby in it please let me know. I would be so very thankful to receive it back,” said Shauna.
It is a off white silk dress with lace around the bottom and across the chest and around the arms. It has a knitted full length over coat over it and in the bag their would have been satin hotties and a bonnet.
It would be about a size 000 and Shauna is pretty sure no labels on it.
“Please if you know anything please let me know,” said Shauna, whose email is gopropertyservices@bigpond.com
