In the 15 years match at The Coroseum – aka Coronation Park – the Strikers played host to the Bellingen Bats in a contest that delivered in spades.
End to end, open, entertaining football was the order of the day, and the sides went to the break locked at nil-all.
The deadlock finally gave early into the second half when the enterprising Bellingen outfit goaled from a measured lead-up.
Nambucca toiled hard to find the equaliser and enjoyed a couple of solid opportunities as they pressed, but the Bats scrambled and marshalled to close out an excellent advertisement for the game.
