With the ink barely dry from his last rollicking adventure novel, he’s now on the precipice of releasing his latest triumph, ‘77 and still Behind the Eight-Ball’.
This new work follows on from his first memoirs – ‘ Mostly Behind the Eight-Ball’ – and charts a course through the last few decades of his extraordinary life.
In it he details his infuriating experiences with bureaucrats (little pocket Hitlers as he calls them), quacks and shoddy businessmen.
And that’s before he lays loose on his own matricidal sister.
“It’s something I don’t think anyone would want to believe their family members are capable of. But the hurt and outrage I felt about that – it’s still something I’m taking blood pressure pills for,” he said.
Andrews obliterates his enemies in ink, proving beyond all reckoning that the pen is indeed mightier than the sword.
“There’s every possibility that I will be sued for libel for writing this book. But I’m pushing 78 now so I thought, bugger it, they can sue me in my grave!” he said.
“Plus there’s nothing like a good suit to sell a book.
“Fortunately I’ve kept all the documentation so I can back up what I’m saying.”
He will officially launch his book in his traditional way – with wine and nibblies – at the Nambucca Heads RSL Club this Friday evening at 5pm.
“All are welcome to come along and have a drink on me,” he said.
