We cannot thank them enough for providing this opportunity to help disadvantaged Aussie kids get an education.
Karly Lane and members of VIEW club discussed the Learning for Life program in 2017 and she saw immediately how beneficial this program is for disadvantaged kids and she gave us the opportunity to use her book launch to raise the funds.
The Club was amazing in giving its resources free of charge to bring together this community, and many local businesses donated to the raffles that were run on the day and stallholders contributed by the fees paid.
Our VIEW club sponsors 5 students (3 primary and 2 secondary) in the Learning for Life program which supports students with resources for education along with other programs such as reading programs at local Macksville schools, breakfast clubs etc.
Our club also donates books to local primary schools and help in classrooms wherever they can.
On the Mid North Coast there are 367 students on the Learning for Life program with co-ordinators based in Coffs Harbour.
Protection of privacy for the students, prevents us knowing the names and exact location of students but we just want to help them move forward out of disadvantage into fully productive and fulfilling lives.
A very BIG thank you to both the Club, their staff and Karly Lane.
We also wish to thank all businesses who kindly donated goods to help us raise much needed funds.
