LOVE YOUR VALLEY was the theme of this years’ Macksville Show pavilion, and from the look of the displays we really do.

From all the pavilion show stewards we would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone that exhibited this year … once again your hard work produced incredible exhibits. We also greatly appreciated your continuing support of the show by taking the time to bring them in to help the pavilion showcase the best of the Nambucca valley.
The pavilion looked fantastic with 2155 exhibits, all of which contributed to producing the picture perfect, amazing displays our stewards put together.
The Best in Pavilion titles for men and women this year went again to Noel Welsh and Colleen Lower, both of whom successfully defended their title from last year!
Both said they love to enter to support the show and were proud of their wins but would like to see more young people exhibiting to keep this wonderful tradition alive for many years to come.
The Macksville Show Society understands the important role the pavilion plays in the show and is proud to say this is the only show in the area where it is still free to enter exhibits.
On behalf of the chief stewards Ruth Grace and myself, Peter Grace (no relation), we would like to thank all the stewards who volunteered their time and worked so hard, especially on Thursday, the day before the show.
Some worked a 12 hour day accepting and documenting entries for judging, writing up tickets, and finally displaying the exhibits everyone to enjoy.
After all, for most of us a visit to the show isn’t complete without a trip around the pavilion to see what has been grown, crafted, woven, drawn, painted, brewed or cooked by our talented community!
If you are interested in lending a hand in the pavilion we would love to hear from you … our pool of stewards is getting on in age, and we are always looking for new community minded volunteers to help.
Please call Peter on 0419 607363 or come to our post show meeting on Saturday, May 19 where we will discuss this years’ show and start planning for 2019.
Thanks again to all our exhibitors – it is your amazing talents that make the pavilion a success!
