Nambucca Valley Girl Guides were host to fellow Guides from across their region for a wonderful day of rafting on the Nambucca River at Bellwood Park on April 7.

One hundred Girl Guides, friends and leaders came together to lash together rafts from wood, drums and rope, and paddle out onto the water.
Girls of all ages challenged themselves to paddle out to the Bellwood pontoon and race each other back to shore.
The Guides, aged 6-16 years also enjoyed games on shore and a sausage sizzle lunch.
For parents interested in Girl Guides for their daughters, Nambucca Valley Hibiscus Junior Guides (aged 7-9 years) and Dolphin Guides (10-14 years) meet on Tuesdays 5pm to 6.30 pm during school terms.
Girls can join at any time and can come along to try for free at the Macksville Guide Hall, Corner of Briner and Park Streets, Macksville.
