MNCLHD Governing Board Chair Warren Grimshaw AM said board members contribute to the management and future direction of the NSW Health System and, as well as being important, the role is extremely rewarding.
“Board members play a pivotal role in setting the strategic direction and accountability for managing our public hospitals and health institutions,” Mr Grimshaw said.
“They play an integral part in representing the interests of the consumers of our Health services.”
Local Health District Boards consist of six to 13 members, all appointed by the Minister for Health.
The selection criteria ensures board members have an appropriate mix of skills, experience and expertise to oversee and provide guidance to large and complex organisations.
“Members will need to be knowledgeable about the Local Health District, its affairs and the environment in which it operates,” Mr Grimshaw said.
Applications close on Friday, 25 May 2018.
