Reaching the semi finals at the recent NSW Amateur Championships as well as playing at the two pro events at Bonville and Coffs Harbour last month has seen Nambucca’s Darcy Habgood noticed by those who matter.

“The head coach of the NSW Women’s team was there and he watched me play,” Darcy said.
And that’s all it took … not long afterwards the call came telling her she’d been selected for the team.
“It’s really exciting – I didn’t really think I’d be picked because I’ve only been here in NSW for such a short time.
“I was in the Queensland team before but this team is a lot stronger, which will be great experience for me.”
The team’s next tournament is in Adelaide in May so it’s practice, practice, practice between now and then for the blossoming player.
“There will probably be a few combined training sessions for team bonding and practice. I’m looking forward to it all immensely.”
