It’s also time to go “awwww” as hundreds of little Macksville bunnies hop down the main street in their annual Easter hat parade.
This year’s parade was a doozy as bonnets of all shapes, sizes, colours and creative possibilities were on display; favourite features included real Easter eggs, bubble wands and baby chick necklaces.
Over 30 Easter hampers were raffled off, with one lucky little fella winning two prizes, and another struggling to walk away with a basket of goodies twice the size of him.
The conga-line of fashionistas from Macksville PreSchool, Alphabet Long Day Care, and Macksville Public, stopped the traffic and drew curious office and retail workers onto the footpath to see what all the fuss was about.
Thankyou parents and children for all your hard work crafting away, and have a very happy Easter!
