Lots of fun was had by the students from three Primary Schools – Nambucca Heads Primary, Frank Partridge VC, Macksville Primary and St Patricks Primary. The younger students were introduced to the Year Advisors for 2019, Mr Matt Rumsey and Miss Sarah Magill.
The students began their introduction to High School with an entertaining session by Ms Barnett with her Magic (Chemistry) show, followed by The Amazing Race. This was a fun way for students to find their way around the school and a little information about the different areas.
Fruit was supplied for the students for morning tea and then they participated in a variety of fun science activities including making sherbet, rocky road, and poop! They also made the “Oobleck” dance and saw their flower indicators change colours. The younger students made a magic potion to drink with their lunch which was made by our Year 10 Hospitality students.
Thank you to all of the Year 10 helpers for being leaders on the day. They did a fantastic job helping the younger students with the activities and looking around the school. Also a big thank you to staff members who helped on the day.
