Starting at 6.30pm on Saturday, May 19 – the same day Harry and Meghan exchange vows – the South Arm Hall will be transformed into the Ye Old KettelGhay Katheredral for a bush wedding party full of playful humour and local faces.
The highlight of the night will be the farcical wedding ceremony at 7pm sharp with none other than, Bishop Boyd of McHughes Creek will be presiding.
Organisers are on the look out for a couple of locals to play the part of the royally engaged. So if you think you have the ‘Harry and Meghan’ factor, now’s your chance to have a bit of fun – royally ever after.
Guests are asked to come dressed as either the bride or groom, or to wear appropriate attire for a ‘royal bush wedding’ and anyone wishing to get hitched is welcome to join the fun night of farce and frivolity.
Just remember to bring your fun self and your friends and get ready for a great night of celebration.
There will be a buffet style dinner in keeping with the bush theme of this royal wedding, followed with a live band and dancing later in the night.
Event organisers look forward to having you and your guests at this very spectacular event. They urge you to pop the date in your calendar – that’s May 19 from 6.30pm at South Arm Hall.
Tickets are $15 per person and will be available at the BTC in Bowraville or you can email Robyn at melvaine@skymesh.com.au or phone Elaine on 6564 7191.
All proceeds from the event go back into the up-keep of South Arm Community Hall. Without funding the hall runs the risk of being closed down. For information about the hall, contact secretary Anama Tesser on 6564 7521.
