Yesterday, on day two, the cream rose to the surface with Bardon Valley Golf Club’s Lester Peterson pipping newcomer David Taylor to the post.
Three-time Eisenhower Cup rep, Peterson, walked away whistling with a cool eight birdies: a feat that had officials diving for the record books.
Peterson eventually smashed the club pro’s record, finishing off the round with an incredible four under par 65.
In fact, noone could get near the topshot with the rest of the board finishing up eight strokes or more beyond the leader.
Peterson, Taylor and Concord’s Ken Brewer are keeping each other company (and an eye on each other) around the final 18 today.
