The grounds themselves were absolutely beautiful.
Meeting other venturers who had similar experiences to me whether that be badge work or just the struggle to find beige socks for the day was great, I didn’t entirely know anyone but by the end of the presentation I was well acquainted with my fellow venturers.
There were 45 Queen’s Scout Award recipients and 4 Baden Powell Scout Award recipients.
Governor of NSW His Excellency David Hurley and Mrs Hurley who are very involved in the scout movement were both in scout uniform and were a pleasure to meet.
As much as I enjoyed the presentation by far the best part would still be overcoming the challenges of achieving the award.
I am ever thankful to my leaders and fellow ventures throughout the region who helped me achieve this.
