Nambucca Hotel captain Michael Stennet won the toss and elected to bat.
Hotel started well with Michael Stennet top scoring with 65, followed by Jesse Alan 16, Dane Luffman 42 and a nice innings at the end from Jason Ahearn 13.
This gave Hotel a more than respectable score of 173.
Nambucca Heads best bowler was Scott Rouse who finished with four for 22. Also chiming in with the cherry were Peter Lee two for 35 and Troy Herbert who also claimed two scalps and conceded just 14 runs.
Nambucca Heads also started promisingly, with Jacob Welsh 10 and Peter Lee 21. But they lost steady wickets and simply could not build a foundation to launch the chase. Daryl Flanders with 35 chipped in late but Heads were all done for 154.
Best bowlers for Hotel were Curtis Ellis with two for 34, Mick Townsend with three for 24 and Jack Ingham with two for 34.
As a result, Hotel have the week off while Nambucca Heads must now face Scotts Head to see who secures their place against Hotel in the grand final.
