Peter Creenaune (Coffs) with a seven handicap took out A grade with a score of 39 points. Greg McCoy (3 handicap) showed good form with a round of 38 to be runner-up.
B grade winner was Warren Fuller (16) who put together a round of 38, with Jason Belt (14) 37 runner-up. For C grade Mark Nugent (21) took out the win with 37 points with Paul Maxwell (23) a surprise to collect with a 34-point round.
All players in the higher grades found the conditions to their liking as the scores in the rundown show. Players to miss out but have good rounds included Uri Ylinen 37, then seven players had a round of 36: Paul Ryan, Ben Honeybrook, Michael Bennett, Greg Smith, Scott Nolan (Coffs), David Bird and Stu Johnston. Ball rundown went to 32 and those to collect were Col Bradley, John Patterson, Derek Wynn and Paul McElhinney.
Pins went to David Bird, Jason Belt, Paul Creenaune, Kevin Mulhall, Dirk Prummel and Graham Weary took out a healthy money shot.
Monthly Medal and stroke on Saturday for the men saw a good field of 120. Peter Farrell (5) again took out the A grade medal with a round of 69 playing from Eddie Penrose (9) a score of 70. David Bagust had the best scratch a round of 72.
In B grade Chris Andrews (13) from Coffs had a 71 nett with Kevin Mulhall (15) to take the medal after a 72. Winner of scratch for the grade was Ken Elley with an 86.
Taking the C grade medal was David Wilson (20) with a 69 score from Robert Bond (19) a nett 70. Colin Easey was the surprise winner of scratch with a gross of 94. Pins went to Greg McCarthy (Coffs) at Sladies hole 3, Ted Beaton took out the jackpot lottery ticket, Jeff Morrison at the 7th, Paddy Byrne at 8, Arthur Bowers the 13th pizza hole, Stu‘s hole went to Eddie Penrose and Rodney Robertson took a good money shot.
Ball rundown went to 75 with 11 players collecting and they are John Starr, Michael Nugent, Paul Fitzgerald (Coffs), Alvin Rapley, Lori Smith, John Hopkins, Stu Johnston, Phil Mander, Ronald Cook, Hans Jansen and Andrew Bagust.
Island Sunday, a mixed 4BBB was sponsored by the Robertsons.
Picking up the spoils were Robyn Jones and Shane Anderson, a round of 45. Next in the placings the Coys Alan and Marion. They had a round of 43 after Marion had a 2/5 on the 7th hole to kick it along. Others to pick up a ball each: Linda and Warren Fuller, and Andrew and Jenny Johnston both with 42-point scorecards. Balls went down to 40 and last to collect were Deidre Byrne and partner Greg Smith. Pins for the day went to Mavis Davis, Shane Anderson, Greg Smith and Gillian Anderson.
