A man has been charged following an armed robbery at a restaurant in Coffs Harbour at the weekend.

At about 7.40pm on Saturday (January 20), police will allege a man entered the restaurant on Grafton Street and threatened a female employee with a knife.
It will be alleged the knife had been stolen from a nearby supermarket. The man allegedly stole cash from the restaurant register and fled the scene.
Police from Coffs Clarence Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
A 23-year-old man was arrested on nearby Market Street and taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station.
He was charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon, shoplifting and breach of bail.
The man was refused bail and appeared before Coffs Harbour Local Court on Sunday (January 21) where he was refused bail.
He is due to appear before the same court on Monday January 22.
