Nigel Wilbow reports: Star Hotel with only eight players were sent in to bat by Bowraville on a very warm and humid afternoon at Thistle Park.

The decision looked like a masterstroke early with Star losing two early wickets but then Joe Costa came to the crease. The wicket was tricky, a bit slow and some uneven bounce by Joe played himself in and with a long partnership with Connor Lockyer, who scored seven, Star batted the 40 overs ending 6/125 with Costa 77 not out.

Best with the ball for Bowraville were Eric Brown 3/20 off 8 over and James Murphy with a very tidy 1/12 off 8 overs.

Bowraville chased down the total in the 32nd over for the loss of 3 wickets with Greg Brown batting well for 63 not out, Barry Lockyer the best of the Star Bowlers with a unlucky 2/19 off 8 overs, could of been a couple more wickets if catches stuck.

Great game played in good spirits in tough conditions, well done to all the players.

Nambucca Heads vs Macksville Country Club at Donnelly Welsh.

Chris Humphries reports: Nambucca Heads batted first and were all out for 152 with Jacob Welsh top scoring on 29 followed by Tim Moon with 14. 

Top bowlers for Country Club were Damien Frost 3/28 Daniel Budden 2/26.

In reply Country Club were bowled out for 110 with Daniel Budden top scoring on 30 with Ossie Kinnear and Damien Frost both getting 23

Top bowlers for Nambucca Heads were Greg Watts getting 2/15 and Tim Moon 2/18.

Nambucca Hotel won the toss and elected to bat scoring 8/246 off the 40 overs. Dane Luffman 89, Michael Stennett 45 and Matt Ward 43 were top scorers.

In reply Scotts Head were all out for 160 in the 35th over. Best bowlers for Nambucca Hotel were Mick Townsend 4/33 and Jason Ahearn 2/15.
