Domestic dispute
About 5am on New Year’s Eve police arrested a 20-year-old man at a Nambucca Heads address following a domestic and family dispute involving two woman aged 19 and 47 years. The man was charged with common assault and destroy/damage property. He was granted bail to appear before Macksville Local Court on January 18.
Alleged choking
On New Year’s Day about 9:20pm Coffs Harbour Police arrested a 49-year-old man in Toormina following investigations related to the domestic assault of a 49-year-old woman from Valla.
The alleged incident occurred at Nymboida on December 30 with the victim sustaining injuries to her face, neck, and chest. The accused man was charged with the offences assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intimidation, armed with intent to commit indictable offence, intentionally choke person with recklessness. He was granted bail to appear before Coffs Harbour Local Court on January 9.
Break and enter arrest
Police arrested a 29-year-old man in North Macksville on Tuesday shortly after 4pm following investigations related to a break and enter earlier the same afternoon at a residence in Nambucca Heads. The man was charged for the offences of break and enter and destroy/damage property. He accused was granted bail to appear before Macksville Local Court on January 18.
Meth found
On December 28 about 11:27am police issued a court attendance notice to a 26-year-old man after seizing a small amount of methyl amphetamine during a search at a park in Nambucca Heads. The man will appear before Macksville Local Court on January 18 for possess prohibited drug.
Burrapine brothers
About 6:15pm on December 28 police arrested two brothers aged 19 and 22 years at a Burrapine residence following investigations related to the assault of a 33-year-old man the previous evening.
Both men were charged at Macksville Police Station for offences related to trespass, destroy/damage property, assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company.
They were granted bail to appear before Macksville Local Court on January 11.
Low range reading
A 71 yr old male driver was arrested on December 31 after he returned a positive result during a RBT along Giinagay Way, North Macksville.
He underwent a breath analysis at Macksville Police Station and returned a low range reading of 0.051. He will appear before Macksville Local Court on February 15.
Drink drive charge
Police arrested a 35 yr old male driver on Saturday evening after he returned a positive result during a RBT along Giinagay Way, North Macksville.
The man underwent a breath analysis at Macksville Police Station and returned a low range reading of 0.053. He will appear before Macksville Local Court on February 22.
Prohibited drug
On Boxing Day, about 7.30pm, police issued a 31-year-old woman with a court attendance notice after they seized a quantity of cannabis and a substance believed to be methyl amphetamine during a search.
The woman will appear before Macksville Local Court on January 18 on two charges of possess prohibited drug.
