The latest sum will be used to enhance local facilities and community infrastructure including the fencing at Scotts Head Tennis Courts, bridge repairs at the Island Golf Course, and pavilion painting at the Macksville Showgrounds.
This is the latest in a series of announcements in December which has seen the Valley offered a brand new hospital, a replacement for Lanes Bridge, a HealthOne facility for Bowraville, and a raft of improvements to the Valley’s sporting infrastructure.
Mrs Pavey said she is very pleased that works will begin at a diverse range of projects in the New Year.
“The popular and very competitive CBP funding program aims to create more vibrant and inclusive communities and deliver positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes,” Mrs Pavey said.
“This grassroots funding will directly benefit our community and will deliver vital new infrastructure, and help pay for much-needed improvements at local sports facilities, parks and clubs.”
