The young woman, a tourist from Sydney, was uninjured in the crash which left the silver Toyota Corolla hatchback resting on its driver side in the middle of the street.
A neighbour helped the young woman out of her car before calling the authorities.
Witnesses to the accident said the woman claimed to have gotten distracted by the view.
“She got out and said ‘Damn nature!’, before trying to Face-time her parents in Sydney,” Tilly Johnson said.
Nambucca Heads police attended the accident just after 7am and helped to direct the convoy of rubber-neckers driving past.
“The information I have is that she appears to have lost control of her vehicle and hit a bollard,” Inspector Stuart Campbell said.
“The impact of the collision has caused the car to flip on its side. The investigation is ongoing.”
The car is currently being removed from the scene.
