Geoff (15 handicap) put together a round of 42 stableford points, easily the best for the day. Paul Ryan (10) was runner-up with 39 points. In division 2, Michael Lee (28) put in a round of 40 points and with a better back nine than Richard Trevena, Peter Dawe and Lee Fewings, won on countback.
Other good scores on the day were Bernie Dugdale 39, Col Edmonds 38, and Don Atkinson, Greg McCoy, Heather Gray, Kevin Mulhall and Raimo Neuvonen all 37 points. Ball rundown went to 34 with six six players to receive and they are Martin Jones, Philip Woodgate, Ian Vidler, Andrew Johnston, Hans Janson and Geoff Harris.
Nearest the pins went to Warren Daniel, Andrew Bagust, Greg McCoy, Col Wormleaton (pizza), Kevin Edmonds, and Trevor Hopkins the money shot.
Ham and Turkey Day on Saturday was sponsored by Greg McCoy and family in a 4BBB event that attracted 92 players hitting off with the best conditions early morning before the wind got up. Taking full advantage of the conditions were Roy Louise and Lyall Gregory as they put together 47 points to take out the hams.
Taking home the turkeys was Colin Dunne and Peter Fredricks with 47 points. Just missing out but taking a Christmas pudding home were Lee Fewings and Richard Trevena with a 47-point round. Ball rundown went to 43 with Snowy Freeman and Trevor Peter last to collect. Pins went to Neil Duffus, Warren Fuller, Andrew Bagust, Greg McCoy (pizza), Walter Bortelletto, and Steve Doherty the money shot.
On Sunday a smallish field played a two person ambrose with the result going to Philip Woodgate and Louise Ainsworth with 62.5 points Next best was Heather Gray and Paul McElhinney with 65.75. Others to show form were M Patterson and Uri Ylinen, Kay and Kel McGoldrick and Peter and Narelle Delaney.
Well done to Darcy Habgood who finished second in her age group and fifth overall in the Greg Norman Classic at the Gold Coast.
