Allen’s contribution, along with some support from the tail, got them to 9/167 in a competitive score on the Thistle Park turf. Disco Darrell Welsh was at it again with 3/31 and Joe Costa 2/23 the best with the ball for Star.

Star Hotel lost an early wicket to be just 1/1 after the first over and at drinks were 3/58 with Joe Costa and Karl Cooper at the crease and still 110 runs required. The pair chased down the total with Costa 76 not out and Cooper 40 not out with four overs to spare in a game played in great spirit. Best bowler for Scotts Head was Thomas Barbour with 2/21.

In reply Bowraville made 7/104 thanks to D Greenup 26, W Graig 21 not out and Greg Smith 13. Best bowlers for Country Club were Jason Warwick 2/14 off 8 and Hayden Brown 2/10. D Budden, Chris Humphreys and Tyson Styles all took one wicket.

Peter Lee reports – Nambucca Heads played Nambucca Hotel with Heads posting 153 (Troy Herbert scored 67, and Greg Watts 58).

Jason Ahearn 2/43 and Jesse Allen 2/26 were best of the bowlers for Hotel.

Nambucca Hotel's run chase got off to a bad start after an impressive opening bowling display had Hotel 5/0 with Travis Hayden 2/11 and Troy Herbert 3/22 doing the damage. Dane Luffman steadied the ship with 58 and M Ward 19no gave Hotel a chance but Greg Watts 2/27 and Karl Gadsden 3/30 had Hotel all done for 94.
