A visit to the Nambucca Heads skate park yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon and I came upon this group of young people enjoying the fence-free facility.
They all agreed that having the fence gone made a big difference to the vibe of the place and that the restrictions placed on use previously seriously affected how much it was used.
“Everything depended on when the gate was unlocked, which meant no early morning skating and also no evening skating during daylight savings,” Isaac Jones said.
And now the fence is gone, they are keen to get involved in any competitions that are organised.
“It will be good to have comps again – I look forward to it,” Logan Mackney said.
