Finalists in the Your Health Link National Photographic Competition were selected from a record 1300 entries from across Australia. Tun by the Mid North Coast Local Health District, the contest has 23 MNC finalists in the running for more than $45,000 in prizes in open, mobile, primary and high school categories.

The aim is to increase health literacy and decrease childhood obesity through photography. The topic – Healthy Life Healthy You – saw entrants actively participate in creating visual images that represented the subject matter. Competition organiser and Your Health Link program manager Carolyn Guichard said the theme was interpreted in some unique and creative ways.
The winners will be named at the opening of the exhibition at the Glasshouse, Port Macquarie, at 6.30pm, on November 17. All the finalists’ entries will be open to the public the next day from 10am until 4pm.
