An 85-year-old woman is dead after the car she was driving left the road and crashed into a tree in the front yard of a home in Tuncurry.

At around 4pm on Saturday (November 4) an 85-year-old woman was driving a Holden Barina on South Street, Tuncurry, when it left the road and crashed into a tree in the front yard of a private premises.
The woman died en route to Manning Base Hospital.
Police from Manning/Great Lakes Local Area Command are conducting inquiries into the crash and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
