Gore-O'Grady win Macksville golf

BUSFURB sponsored a 2BBB event on Saturday at Macksville Golf Course. Winners were Jeff Gore and Geoff O'Grady with a fine effort of 50 points in a close finish from Rod Curtis and Dave Poole and Mike Parker and Brian Turner.

Front nine winners were Dave Poole and Rod Curtis with John Summerville and Noel Austin taking out the back nine.

Nearest the pin shots went to A Grade Max Graham, no B Grader hit their target and Ray Bowering collected the C Grade.

Extra nearest the pins on the 4th/13th went to Allan Clarke, Jeff Gore and Dave Poole.

Individual winner on the day was Geoff O'Grady with 45 points.

Thursday's stableford event was won by Ross Donnelly, back from recent knee surgery.

On Sunday October 22, Barry McDonald sponsored the Macksville Open Day with players attending from Dorrigo, Kempsey, Frederickton, Bowraville  Kempsey, South West Rocks and a contingent from Charlestown in Newcastle.

Gross winner was Macksville's Allan Clarke with Tony Henshaw, also from Macksville, taking out the stableford event.

Gross winners: A Grade B Clarke, B Grade Z Pritchard, C Grade S Langley. Runners-up J Benson, C Gorman and R Rudner.

Stableford winners: A Grade R Beaumont, B Grade P Donges, C Grade M Turner. Runners-up K Cooper, D Hartman, J Collison.

Saturday's event is a single stableford sponsored by Macksville Automotive Services.
