The Theatre Singers first formed around 15 years ago where they started off as a small group of choristers singing at the Bowraville Theatre as a sub-group of the Bowraville Arts Council.

From these humble beginnings, the choir quickly progressed to more ambitious productions, from ‘Mary Queen of Scots’ and ‘Trial by Jury’ to ‘Oliver’.

Increasing in popularity, and under the auspices of talented musical director, Lissa Tardiani, our local songsters have continued to delight audiences over the years with a diverse range of musical productions with a difference.

The creative pen of resident writer Sylvia Rapley cleverly weaves the musical program together with an amusing script to bring us a show capturing the true essence of theatre.

And ‘Songs of Australia’ is no exception to this rule—the Singers will be joined by local bush poet Terry Byrt who brings the verse of Banjo Patterson to life.

Featuring a wide range of Australian songs from traditional to modern day, the music embodies the true blue Aussie spirit.
