All members of the community are welcome to come along and see what the Men’s Shed has to offer.
Along with a display of items made at the Men’s Shed there will be demonstrations of wood-turning and pyrography.
Visitors are welcome to stay and join the blokes for a free lunch of pizza, made in the Shed’s own wood-fired pizza oven.
"This is a great opportunity for people to come and see how many of the Men’s Shed projects help our local community, and also see how the Shed helps out our members as well,” Men’s Shed coordinator Stuart Holmes said.
There are over 1,000 Men’s Sheds Australia-wide now and the Nambucca Valley Men’s Shed facility has been operating in the Valley since 2000, making it one of this country’s pioneer sheds.
For more information on the open day or other Men’s Shed enquiries, contact the shed on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday on (02) 6568-4009 or Lifetime Connect’s office on (02) 6568-2522.
The Nambucca Valley Men’s Shed is located at 5 Centra Park St in the Macksville Industrial Estate.
