They’re the kings of the jungle, but now the Tigers are set to be royalty on the rugby field too.

The Bowra Tigers are cementing their reputation as a standout club with six out of seven junior teams through to the grand finals this weekend in Smithtown.

All Group 2 grand finals will be held on Saturday, September 9 at the Smithtown oval.

The U14s are the only junior team to miss out after bowing out last week in the preliminary finals to a very strong Kempsey side.

The junior teams played an amazing day of footy at Coronation Park in Nambucca Heads on the weekend.

The U12s defeated Nambucca Heads 14 to10 in extra time in what many spectators are calling the greatest game of junior footy they’ve seen.

The U11s thrashed Orara valley 40 to 12 while the U15s side also pulled out a nail-biting win in extra time, beating Woolgoolga 24 to 20.

The U13s came from behind to school the Nambucca Roosters with the scoreboard reading 40 to 28 at full time.

And the U16s got a free pass to the grand finals after slaying Sawtell 40 to 6 on August 26.

All eyes will be on the tigers this weekend for a massive finish to the JRL Group 2 season.
