Nambucca Valley now has its own home-grown support network for female entrepreneurs.
The newly formed Nambucca Valley Women’s Business Network (NVWBN) is inviting business women from across the Nambucca Valley to their launch meeting on Thursday, September 14 in Macksville.
“The aim of the NVWBN is to bring local business women together to support, inspire and empower one another by sharing skills and networking with other women,” NVWBN president Elizabeth Bond said.
“The NVWBN is open to all women, whether you are an employee or run a home-based business, or work full time or part time. We’ll host monthly networking meetings with a keynote speaker, an opportunity for members to showcase their businesses and plenty of time for conversation over breakfast in a relaxed and supportive environment.”
At the inaugural launch meeting, women will hear from keynote speaker CEO Kerry Grace from Regional Development Australia- Mid North Coast.
In her role as CEO, Kerry aims to contribute to the organisation’s vision of a Mid North Coast that embeds a culture of ‘innovation, opportunity, inclusion and economic prosperity’.
Kerry is a strong advocate for women in business and opportunities in economic development for all people throughout the region.
“We realised we were the only Valley on the Mid North Coast without a women’s business network and thought it was time. What’s great to see is that other areas who have a network, also have a complementary relationship with their local Chamber. We also look forward to working with our local Chambers and other organisations in the future. I think now is an exciting time for business in the Valley!”

“The NVWBN has taken inspiration from other women’s business networks on the Mid North Coast. In the future we plan to run workshops, support skills development, foster mentoring opportunities, have social occasions and create a strong sense of community amongst business women in the valley,” Ms Bond said.
The monthly meetings will rotate between the towns of Nambucca Heads, Bowraville and Macksville.
Women are encouraged to come to all of the meetings, not just the ones in their home town, as a way of meeting and learning skills from women from all over the Nambucca Valley.
The launch breakfast meeting will be held on Thursday, September 14 at Mack’s Ville Café, from 7-8.30am.
