The event will celebrate local writers in the Nambucca Valley, and Kempsey, Bellingen and Coffs Harbour, offering opportunities to meet the authors, buy their recent and past releases, and have your books signed.
Coordinator Marion Syratt said it was like having markets but with writers and their books as the products.
There will also be readings by authors of excerpts from their books or poems as well as workshops on a huge range of related subjects such as:
* Public speaking
* How to get started writing your own work
* Careers in journalism
* Publishing
* Introduction to Gumbaynggirr language
* Poetry collage
* Fantasy writing and more.
A second hand book sale, raffle, gold coin donation entry and refreshments are also part of the day (10am to 4pm), which is a fundraiser for the Community Centre.
Donations of books welcomed as is the involvement of more local authors to be a part of this unique Regional Writers’ Expo.
