CHANGE is a constant and the Nambucca Evening VIEW Club is as ever moving with the times.

So much so that the club will now be known as Nambucca/Macksville Evening VIEW Club.

The August meeting of the newly known Nambucca/Macksville Evening VIEW Club was held on August 3 at Bluegum Cafe at Macksville.

Ladies enjoyed listening to local author Tamara McWilliam at the meet. Tamara spoke about her journey as a writer, and how she became a self published author and then went on to write another three books which are available in various outlets around Australia as well as for purchase via the internet.

The club has taken on sponsorship of another student through The Smith Family's Learning for Life program. The club is proud to have five students in this program, ranging in age from five years to 18.

The ladies farewelled a long time member, Claire Bradley, who is moving out of the area. The club wishes Claire and her husband John the very best.

The next meeting will be September 6 and the guest speaker will be Ruth from Lifetime Connect. Ruth will talk about care packages that are available to the elderly, to keep them living in their homes longer.

All ladies are welcomed to come to Nambucca/Macksville Evening VIEW Club. The club meets on the first Wednesday of the month and enjoys and meal and a guest speaker. There is lots of fun and laughter to be had. Names and cancellations to Jan Ewington by September 1 on 6569-8391.

Bowra market

LOOKING for something to do on Saturday?

The Bowraville Country markets are held on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month, from 8am to noon.

And there’s a sausage sizzle on the fourth Saturday of the month, and brewed coffee and devonshire teas on both days.

There's also a community jig-saw, and scrabble too.

Come on down for an easy Saturday social morning at the Pioneer Community Centre, Bworaville.

More stallholders wanted, so why not book in now? Buskers welcome too.
