It turned out to be a cliched game of two halves, with the Strikers playing some decent football down the right flank for Nick Hickey to open the scoring before the 20-minute mark.
Fellow strike partner Ryan Flack was carried off moments later with a game ending knee injury, being replaced with Dave Marchant who had just played the majority of the 3rd division game. Dave made his presence felt within minutes, calmly slotting a cut back ball from 10 yards out – Strikers 2-0 up at half time.
But after the break the Strikers constantly turned possession over and were caught out when pushing forward for a third goal. Corindi capitalised with a 3 v 2 breakaway to score their first. Their second followed 10 minutes later from a soft free kick that was scrambled in from close range.
Both teams had their chances to take the 3 points but neither had the composure in front of goals.
It was the first points dropped for the Strikers this season though they remain undefeated.
