Played over two divisions, the winner in A Grade was Andrew Bagust playing off 18 with 40 points. Second was Peter Greenaune (6 handicap), a frequent visitor from Sawtell with 36.

In B grade Andrew Donovan (25) was first with 40 from Paul Maxwell (25) second with 37. NTPs went to Andrew Bagust with the best second shot on 3, Alan Cockburn on 5, Greg Smith on 7, Andrew Bagust again on 8, Alan Cockburn won the pizza on 13, Phil Mander won Stuart Johnston’s ball on 15 and Mike Nugent won the money shot. Balls went to 33 on a countback.

On Friday 10 players joined our pro’s hit and giggle session despite the gloom. The best was Chris Murphy on 18 points.

On Saturday the rain returned and 27 golfers braved the conditions to play a Medley Single Stableford. About 20 players completed the round and because of the small field there was only one winner, Michael Lee (30) with 35 points which was very good considering the conditions.

NTPs went to Paul Ryan on 3, Phil Mander on 5, Alan Cockburn on 7, Phil Mander again on 8, Neil Duffus won the pizza hole, Drew Glasson the 15th and Alan Cockburn won the money shot.

Balls went to 31 on a countback.

On Sunday the field was again reduced by the weather to 24 players in the River Sunday. This was a Twoball Stableford Aggregate sponsored by Jan and Geoff Harris. The winners were Glenys Thompson and Trevor Peck from M Blake and Peta Giddey. Garnie O’Brien took the nearest the pin on the fifth and the ladies’ prize jackpotted.

The weather forecast looks like more of the same for the coming week but if at all possible there will be golfers out playing throughout the week. The club invites any interested golfers to join us.
