Roads and Maritime Services will carry out the work between Florence Wilmont Dr and Teagues Creek to provide a smoother journey for motorists.
To reduce the impact to the community, work will take place between 7pm and 6am from Tuesday to Thursday, weather permitting.
Temporary lane closures and a reduced speed limit will be in place during work hours for the safety of workers and road users.
Meanwhile, changed traffic conditions remain in place on the Pacific Highway at Macksville for work to progress on the new Upper Warrell Creek Bridge.
The final eight girders will be delivered on weekdays next week between 9pm and 12am and from 1am to 5am, weather permitting.
Motorists are advised delays of up to 30 minutes may be experienced because of the slow speed of transportation from north of Macksville to the new bridge.
Designated pullover points and holding bays will be in place on the Pacific Highway to reduce traffic delays and queue lengths.
Electronic messaging signs will be placed in several locations along the highway to advise motorists of the changed conditions during the deliveries.
