Nambucca Valley Boomerang Bags will have their official launch at the market on Sunday June 25.
The markets will run from 8am until around 1.30pm and Boomerang Bags will have their launch at around 10.30am. Come along and find out how you can contribute to making the world and ocean plastic bag free.
As a market committee, Funkya@Unkya want to help achieve the United Nation’s sustainable development goals - and the June market will focus on ‘Below the Water’. Cutting out single-use plastic bags will help reduce the appalling amount of plastic that ends up in the ocean.
“The committee is also cutting out selling plastic bottles of water - so BYO bottle instead and we will fill it for you for free,” organiser Lisa Hall said.
All of the usual brilliant stallholders will be there on June 25 – the bacon and egg barbecue, damn fine coffee and cakes, and the groovy sounds of Delma. Plus, there will be activities for the kids.
