Nambucca Heads won this trophy in 2016, the first time ever, so is chuffed to go back to back.
With three lovely items going off to State, the branch hopes that the members concerned are able to gain a place with the submitted items.
Mid North Coast Group vice-president Kathleen Miller presented the trophy to Dianne McNeil, the branch handcraft officer, and branch president, Joan Bagnell.
Joan Bagnell won third prize with her Donna Latter Memorial Chocolate Cake, no mean feat either, as the competition was stiff as were the two judges, at the Group Council meeting held on March 1 at Gloucester. This cake has special importance for CWA, as it is a recipe that a previous long serving member used, and she left it as a legacy. Her legacy lives on with this complicated recipe. It is a very rich and rather yummy chocolate cake.
