KEMPSEY detectives have renewed their appeal for information following an alleged assault on the Mid North Coast last month.

Just after midnight on New Year’s Day, a 23-year-old man was in a car park on Ocean Ave, Stuarts Point, when he was approached by two unknown men.
Police will allege the two men assaulted the man with a baseball bat and kicked him in the head a number of times. He was taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus with non-life threatening injuries.
Strike Force Dolas, comprising of detectives from the Mid North Coast Local Area Command, was established to investigate.
Following inquiries, before 10am on Monday January 9, a 21-year-old man attended Kempsey Police Station and was arrested.
He was charged with reckless grievous bodily harm in company and affray, and was granted conditional bail to appear at Kempsey Local Court on Monday February 20.
As investigations continue under Strike Force Dolas, police have released a COMFIT image of a man who may be able to assist them.
The man is described as being in his early 20s, of stocky build, and has short black hair, is clean shaven and was seen wearing a white t-shirt.
