IN A BID to head off what could be a one-way ride downhill financially for local councils, prior to Christmas Nambucca Council’s Mayor Rhonda Hoban and Bellingen Council’s General Manager Liz Jeremy held discussions with the NSW Roads and Maritime Service (RMS) regarding the transfer of assets to the councils, namely the Old Pacific Highway, following the opening of the new road.
