Nambucca River District Pony Club held their final rally day at Macksville Showground, starting with a mini gymkhana, followed by a fancy dress for horses and riders.

Jorja Woods was the winner of the fancy dress - coming as an acrobat while her mount was ‘dressed’ as a clown.
The afternoon reverted to the usual presentation formula, a barbecue and drinks provided by the club and salads provided by all the families. It was the biggest crowd seen at the club’s presentations for many years.

* Senior Champion: Shakirra Silvia
* Reserve Senior Champion: Shenise Guiana
* Associate Champion: Ashleigh Johnson
* Reserve Associate Champion: Tayla Chapman
Merit awards went to:
* Zander Van Es, Maleiah Churchill, Cruz Hamilton, Bronx Hamilton, Mikayla Sutch, Amber Smith, Mackenzie Bulter, Chris Woods, Jarrah Goldrick, Baylee Freeman, Ryleigh Freeman, Katie Elson, Oliver Elson, Chloe McGoldrick, Melody French, Natalie Meys, Blake Schmidt, Kenzie Parkins, Claudia West and Jamie-Lee Kneeves.
* The March Family Charlie Chaswick Trophy for the most improved Junior Rider was awarded to Lilly McCormack, while The Bruce Fry Memorial Trophy for the most improved Senior Rider was awarded to Claudia West.
* The Willey Family David McCormack Memorial Trophy for Club Person of the Year went to Keith Coombes for his dedication to the children throughout 2014. All members appreciate his input both with judging and instruction.
The club held its annual general meeting on December 8 and the following appointments have been made:
Geoff Goldrick has taken over the reins as president for the 2015 season. Other members elected to the executive committee: senior vice-president Gayleene Chapman, junior vice-president John McCormack, secretary Liz Boswell and treasurer Pamela McCormack. John McCormack will be the club senior instructor for 2015.
Club membership fees will remain the same as for 2014 with any increase being absorbed by the club.
After five years of hosting the Zone 9 Jamboree, the club decided to nominate for the Showjumping Championships instead and will host the ‘High and Mighty’ Showjumpng Championships in early June.
The club will resume activities on January 25, which is earlier than usual, to allow for nominations for the Zone 9 Sporting and Campdrafting Championships to be hosted by North Dorrigo Pony Club.
