POLICE are on the hunt for three men who held up a bank in Macksville on Monday afternoon.

It is understood two men wielding knives, and another armed with a sawn off 22 calibre rifle, threatened staff and demanded cash at the Banana Coast Credit Union at about 2:30pm.
The men left with a sum of cash in a southerly direction, and were last seen heading towards the Pacific Highway in a maroon 4WD, similar to a Toyota Landcruiser.
The men have been described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance and were wearing balaclavas and gloves.
No one was injured during the robbery.
